Operate Sustainably
We believe embedding sustainability into our business fosters long-term success for our stakeholders. Over the years, we have reduced our environmental footprint through both our direct business activities and by educating our customers and providing them with more sustainable product choices to help reduce the indirect impacts of our business. The initiatives we have in place across our five environmental pillars not only strengthen our business and drive innovation but also improve the lives of our customers and benefit the communities we serve.
Strengthen Our Communities
We work to strengthen the communities where our associates and customers live and work, in part by supporting The Home Depot Foundation and its investments in veteran causes, natural disaster response and skilled trades training.
The Home Depot Foundation, a nonprofit supported by The Home Depot, works to improve the homes and lives of U.S. veterans, support communities impacted by natural disasters and train skilled tradespeople to fill the labor gap. To extend the Foundation’s mission, Team Depot, The Home Depot’s associate volunteer force, works alongside The Home Depot Foundation’s national and local nonprofit partners to serve our local communities all year.
